This reporter was performing at the `Old Way Station' (a restaurant on the alley behind a mortuary) located near the Normandy Shopping Center when Skip would bring his business associates or his own kids and their friends in to see the `Magic Castle' style of magic. Tiered seating was plentiful in the Library Room where a spotlight in the ceiling illuminated the table in the corner where I offered close-up magic to patrons of the club that desired a little entertainment.

Skip loved magic, although not a seasoned performer, but joined the Wizards and became, and still is, one of our strongest and valuable members. Whenever we need a particular place to meet he usually has a good suggestion and has, personally, a couple of his own locations available. Skip is a quiet man which belies his willingness to step forward with ideas and assistance that benefits others. As a personal friend of Johnny Paul he always arranged a private party so our club members could visit with John, although John was in town especially to entertain Skip's company personnel. Skip made several trips to Branson with various Wizards just so they could enjoy the magic shows there. Thanks, Skip.
